What Accounts for Our Current — or Recurrent — Fascination With Memoir-Novels? – NYTimes.com

  1. Really enjoy your posts about the craft of memoir and posts such as this one where we’re invited to further dissect the art of memoir. I fell in love with the genre almost twenty years ago. It touched a part of my soul which hungered for connection. I’d discovered that I wasn’t alone. I wasn’t crazy. I was abused.

  2. Thank you! I’ve never been able to explain why I’ve love memoirs. I just do, but you’re right, it’s the connection, like I, somehow, shared in their experience, like someone else knew how I felt and I knew how they felt. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and comment on my bog. Wishing you a Happy New Years!
